Serving Seniors, Inc.

With the safety of long term care residents being a priority, stringent protocols have been put in place, to try and protect the residents from exposure to COVID-19.

This includes visitation restrictions, suspensions of communal dining and group activities and adhering to social distancing practices. With that said, we cannot forget about our long term care residents psycho social well being.

Can you think of a better way to keep up the residents’ spirits then to have them receive an uplifting letter, card and/or child’s drawing!

Serving Seniors Inc has initiated a program entitled "Operation Reach Out."

Virtual Family Council

The Pennsylvania Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman is a federally mandated advocacy network that is independent of long-term care providers and facilities. Established within the Department of Aging and the Office of Advocacy & Reform, there are local ombudsmen in each county in the Commonwealth that are available to serve residents and families during this very difficult time.

As a result of the Covid19 pandemic, families, friends, spouses of residents living in long-term care have been unable to visit and are often struggling with the changes in protocol, rights, and policies resulting from this pandemic.

The Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman is launching a new statewide resource for any family/friend in Pennsylvania with concerns about their loved one living in a long-term care facility.
