Volunteer Visitation

Recruitment, training and placement of volunteers of all ages to provide friendly visiting and companionship to area residents of nursing and assisted living/personal care homes. Special coordinated events include:

• Pet Therapy
• Intergenerational Programming
• Adopt-A-Resident Program
• Golden Service Club

Volunteers needed for the Nursing Home Volunteer Visitation Program in Lackawanna County

Sixty percent of the residents living in long term living facilities receive no visitors. A friendly visit can transform a Resident's quiet day in an instant. If you would like to make a difference, please consider joining our team of dedicated Visitation Volunteers.
